Flaps sound issue
#1

Hi guys,

i'm having this problem with flaps sound during gameplay:

lowering the flaps the sound just start but after a while it starts repeting itself almost three times, still when the flaps action is compleated.

If i raise the flaps the sound is just normal, as for lowering \ raising flaps with the plane on the ground..

This repeatition occours only while flying: did u ear anything about it ?

did you install any new mods before the problem started? And is it an aircraft which did not do this before? I know at least the 109 has a buzzer to tell you that combat flaps are down... more details would be useful to diagnose the problem.

Mmmmm let me think ... first time occurred when i've installed new sounds for the F4U, from Jafa Production; and was only an F4U issue.

I think it depends on .prs of some aircraft engines, because happened again only while changing sounds in the sample folder and altering some preset ...

Now i'm using sfs extractor to see if i can find some preset that shows wich plane use wich engine sound and or flaps etc. etc.

The problem is also i dont know wich parameter change whatever effect in game ... or indicates what ... Tongue

Mmmmm it happens during flight when engine rpm are at middle range ... probably 2000-2700 rpm for the standard inside .prs file

Have you had any luck? You've got me...
I have the jafa sounds myself, but didn't install them as i thought they might conflict with the unified installers sound mod, are you using them over another sound mod?
I have had a look through the jafa sounds and compared them to the ones i have installed... and all i have managed to do is confuse myself
I think your on your own buddy... sorry!
