I once downloaded a set of skins for an Avia 534. It was as far as I could tell, not for use as a hack on an existing slot or a modification of another existing skin in IL2, but a genuine new skin altogether, looking at first glance at least, like an Avia 534 would if it were skinned for the game.
Now my question is this: was the Avia 534 ever modded for the game or is the set of skins I have of the Avia 534 just an example of how an Avia 534 could be skinned were it available?
Probably the latter; the B-534 was officially submitted to 1C but although screenshots were published on the Ubi forum it never made it into the sim. Ditto for several others which were announced such as CW-21B, Fokker D.XXI and F2A-3.
As for the chance of the B-534 appearing as a new plane through AAA- who knows.............
Can we then ever fly those beautiful and much needed planes? Or will they be released somewhere without compatibility with new AAA planes? I think most of IL-2 players wouldn't like that any of the planes they've been dreaming of for so many years would be lost forever.
