1: It's Wasserfall.
2: It's not that easy as you think, that's why not the natter.
3: Do at least some more research before gassing up loads of aircraft...

Slow

Thinking about it - maybe the Wasserfall could be modded out of the X-4 missile? The launcher would have to be modeled as an aircraft (with 0 fuel and no movement) where the AI "pilot" would be looking straight up and the missile would be wire guided by this "pilot". It's not ideal but it just could work - at least theoretically...

I have a certain Ta-183 Grunherz 1946 campaign (downloaded from M4T a while ago) where the AI uses X-4's at great effect. But only against heavies (in this case B-29's maequerading as Russian Tu-4's*). They won't use it against fighters though.

But this kind of weapon was not meant to be used against fighters anyway, since they were too small a target. A Wasserfall, to be modeled correctly, would have to go up among a formation of bombers and detonate in their midst. That's all. It is not designed to chase down individual planes. So i don't see a problem.

*Speaking of Tu-4, now that we have a Silverplate modeled, it would be cool to get the "Sdelano v SSSR" ("Made in USSR") version too, with corrected armament and such...

Wait wait... are you trying to tell us that AI does not launch X-4 missiles (on your machine)? On mine, they are absolutely devastating with them! I've seen an AI missing a target with an X-4, and then loop the missile around to have another go!
