MODs and Dgen issue?

I ran into a weird problem last night.

I have the unified installer, and had the switcher set to 4.09 with Mods, no 6DOF. I tried to start a Dgen career, specifically the Greenhearts one that Boelcke made a while back. I got all the way to the plane selection screen, then tried to start the first campaign. I got a beep from the PC and that

I also use the default map upgrade and various static.ini mods, with 4.09mb, and have no problems with DGen. But I did not try using the Unified Installer.

Maybe it would help if you could post the file DGenERROR.log that normally is generated in your game's root folder when a DGen career fails to start.[/list]

I'm thoroughly enjoying "generic RAF" compilation (many thanks vtrelut ) on AAA UI , i don't have default map pack though ( not cos i don't like it but cos i have my own modifications ). No problems interacting Dgen and AAA UI here .

is it possible that some file got misplaced during language fix ? ... just a thought

No need, I figured it out. It turns out that some of the files I removed that had "_ru" in them where important. I took them out as some of my campaigns had the Russian text rather then English, and I took out more then needed! Big Grin

Ah, ah... so you did some cooking on your own then... :wink: Well, *_ru.dat and other DGen files like that can be critical, when the game is modded. This is particularly the case for briefings files (*message.dat files). Glad that you found the fix, and enjoy your DGen campaigns.

Actually for anybody having such an issue, please simply install or re-install latest version of DGen EnjoyR patch for no add-ons, and you will have the correct *_ru.dat files in your DGen folder, without bugs and in English language.
