... yes you can , but you must get original tga files by extracting them from SFS files ( SFS extractor) and then make them editable by using TGA converter ( tools section)
path should look like this :
...3DO\Tanks\" name of desired tank folder"\
example for final mod:
...\mods\"as you like"\3DO\Tanks\PzVA\
