Hi all, I was just wondering, is it at all possible to remove the default markings only on certain planes? I'm talking specifically about the F4Us- I'd really like to remove the default U.S. stars on the corsair Mk I and the huge side numbers on the F4U-1. I'm not talking about using Mat Manager or editing the .mat texture files, as these will affect the markings on all a/c. I want it only for those specific planes.

I think I heard it has something to do with editing the .msh files, but I'm not sure. Could someone shed some light on this?

to make u a little bit happy, i can just say, use the markings off in the game menu, or edit the mission files, so it says like this

that is the way i can recommend here, for just specified planes, i say like this = -there is some stuff u shouldn't talk about here.

I think what jaypack is getting at is how to remove the aircraft insignia and retina the aircraft lettering or numbering.

Like how some U.S. planes have the insignia on the skin and the numbering as the markings.

Exactly. I remember a while back, Ranwers (I think) made a mod to add numbers to the wings of the F4U-1D. Basically I want to do the opposite of that, and remove the numbers and/or insignia from only certain planes.

i know what he said, and then i putted abit under "some stuff u shall not discus i here.

yes u can do that, more i cant say,

if u ask me why, on that one, i referents to the forum rules

or u can ask those that all ready work on the markings mode
