Is it possible to make a elevator for the carrier?

It would be really exciting to go under deck after landing Smile

I can't do it myself but i would say that there is a chance it is possible. Firstly a new 3d model would be need for the carrier so that a room inside the carrier is modeled and also a separate part of the carrier is the elevator platform so it can move up and down. Then this needs to be imported into IL2. Some code needs to be written so that for example if u press chocks in close enough to the elevator u will snap there and then it will lower you and then chocks off again and u can go and the same way for going up. Then this needs to be checked in MultiPlayer so that if someone goes down into the carrier u can actually see that from other people's games that the elevator is moving.

The two essex class carriers in the game are the USS Essex (CV-9) and USS Intrepid (CV-11).

It;s possible but it is not worth the work if you ask me. If some one decides to make it im not going to hold them back but realistically all planes would be on the flight deck before take off either warming up there engines or etc. The only use i can find of this is when landing to keep the deck clear but that too would be unrealistic. (Even though after a landing generally the planes would be moved to a hanger) they were usually pushed to there parking spot.
