Hi!
May I ask if you have "fabianfred" destroy mod installed? if yes, put minus (-) sign in front of its folder
in your MODS folder to disable this mod, do a test fly and see how it works, because as i remember it did the same ting to my big ships too (This was in my case). I'm not 100% sure that i guess right, if your problem remains delete the (-) sign to enable his mod.

Ok, have the destruction mod but I cannot disabled it because it is merged in the pack witch I use Cry

In my investigations to try try to resolve these little spots, I added two files in ...\Effects\Smokes named "SmokeShipTiny.eff" and "SmokeGunTinyFire.eff" filed both with these lines:

[ClassInfo]
ClassName TSmokeSpiralParams
[General]
MatName ..\Materials\burnfire0.mat
Color0 1.0 1.0 1.0 0.4
Color1 1.0 0.0 0.0 0.2
nParticles 32
FinishTime -1
MaxR 0.1
PhiN 4.0
PsiN 4.0
LiveTime 1.5
TranspTransitionTime 2000000000.0
EmitVelocity 1.0 5.0
EmitFrq 15.0
Wind 0.0
Size 4.0 6.0
GasResist 0.2
VertAccel 0.8
Rnd 0.0
EmitTheta 0.0 30.0

And now, I can see the Ship's little artillery burning when destroy, but the smokes spots still here...

Someone knows what is the "file.eff" witch definite the smokes for the destroyed ship's little artillery ?

Nobody ?

made some improvements this week-end and partialy resolve this problem by decreasing the opacity of all the smokes of the ships, which correspond better with the recollections than I have of those vapor ships on which I was embarked in my French Navy sailor time (21 years)...

I think the file you are looking for is,
smokegunTiny.eff,
smokegunsmall.eff, smokegunmedium.eff and smokegunlarge.eff, the last3 files are based on the first one, so if you change it maybe you must adjust them too.
not 100% sure but you can check it if you want.

smokegunTiny.eff => about the pipe's ships smoke or damaged small artillery smoke ? (not sure to understand...)

Well, with the Fabianfred destruction Mod now you can destroy or damaged some shiped things like the little Dca.

As all the smokes and fire Mods are exclusively destinated for the planes and the vehicles, I have decided to try to apply these effects to the ships.

My request in this thread was to asked of the help to understand the functioning of files *.eff, by making several attempts and by means of certain persons I arrived at a result which seems to me satisfactory.
