Me and others conrades are getting the same issues with 1.1 U.I, the creation a litle patch or new botton can fix all problems? or the best way is start a entire new 1.2UI?

It would be nice if SOMETHING was done. My UI 1.1 woes haven't stopped from the moment I tried to install it. No 6DOF (tried installing 3 times!) at all, for example, and no help either, it seems. Sure, some members have tried to help, but it'd be really cool if one of the AAA team would try to help.
As it is, I'm now entering day 3 of trying to get just a very BASIC, WORKING UI1.1.
With every step forward, anothe r2 back.
It looks like I'll be shelving 1.1 (and whatever is still to come that will be dependent on it ), still using 1.0 that works absolutely sweetly - except for my lost Hurricane sounds, which was the main motivator for the new UI. Guess I'll have to be happy with that...

Mine is working fine, although i have only played IL-2 since 1.1 maybe only 9 hours and thats just me wrapping up a few campaigns,

With 1.0 never any problem but after 1.1 my versionswitcher don't run. I can only switch with open IL-2 1946 Folder and doubleclick on .bat Data. I have a few new installation from IL-2 behind me but the problem don't go away. I don't know where the mistake. sry for my bad english.

Well, I can appreciate waiting for a patch for AC, but that doesn't solve the problem of the 'out of the box' UI1.1 not working correctly.........which makes me reluctant to carry on with it.
So, if someone could explain why I have no 6DOF on a straight-forward, clean install, after 4 attempts, I'd really apreciate it.

My opinion is it wood be a good thing to me to get out the UI 1.2 because there are many new planes like BF109s of Muas the Magister of RAF_Magpie the typhoon of Ranwers and other awesome projects but the problem is that i dont like to do many manual installs because you want to replace many files and text document and the thing is 99.9% i install it bad

Fix the shift key problem. With UI 1.1.1 some people lost the shift key.

I will try, with a picture.

Sometimes I go into a panic when I only have 2DOF at game start. Then I hit the numpad * key to bring up the menu in the picture. I then toggle zoom view [keypad 0] on and off a couple of times, and that brings it back to 6DOF.

OPEN UP FULL MISSION BUILDER AND TAKE NOTE OF THE NIMBER OF MAPS
IN THE unified install CLOSE GAME.

THE FOLLOWING STEPS WERE TAKEN IN THIS ORDER

INSIDE THE NEW INSTALL THERE IS NOW A ''MODS'' FOLDER
GO INSIDE THAT FOLDER AND REMOVE THE ENTIRE FOLDER CALLED ''MAP MODS'' TO A SAFE LOCATION.
I PUT MINE ON MY BACKUP HARD DRIVE.
ANY PLACE WILL DO.

GO TO YOUR ORIGINAL INSTALL THAT YOU FLY ONLINE WITH AND RT CLICK ON THE ''MAP MODS'' FOLDER AND HIT
COPY.
GO TO THE MAIN GAME FOLDER OF YOUR UNIFIED INSTALL AND OPEN UP THE ''MODS'' FOLDER. HIT ''PASTE''
AND IT WILL COPY OVER YOUR ENTIRE ''MAP MODS'' FOLDER FROM YOUR WORKING ONLINE INSTALL TO THE NEWLY INSTALLED
UNIFIED INSTALL.
NOW START THE UNIFIED INSTALL GAME.OPEN UP MISSION BUILDER, AND YOU WILL SEE OVER 80 MAPS TO CHOOSE FROM. 86 TO
BE EXACT.
SELECT A MISSION FROM THE SINGLE MISSIONS AND FLY TO SEE IT IS STILL WORKING. ALL SHOULD STILL BE WELL

GO TO THE UNIVERSAL INSTALL MAIN GAME FOLDER AND DELETE THE CONF.INI AND THE USER'S FOLDER. THEN GO TO THE
MAIN GAME FOLDER AND COPY THE CONF.INI AND THE USERS FOLDER . NOW, BACK TO THE U.I. GAME AND PASTE THEM IN
THE MAIN GAME FOLDER.

GO TO YOUR MAIN GAME FOLDER AND OPEN UP THE MODS FOLDER.COPY THE SABRE,THE P-80, AND THE MIG15 FOLDER'S
ASSUMEING YOU HAVE THEM INSTALLED IN YOUR GAME.IF NOT THEN DO SO AND TEST FLY THE GAME TO SEE THAT THEY ARE THERE.

GO TO THE U.I. INSTALL NOW AND PASTE THE THREE AIRCRAFT INSIDE THE MODS FOLDER.

OPEN UPTHE STD FOLDER AND HERE IS THE PATH TO FOLLOW STD/COM/MADDOX/IL2/OBJECTS. INSIDE THE OBJECTS FOLDER
IS THE AIR.INI. RIGHT CLICK ON IT AND OPEN IT.
NOW ADD THE FOLLOWING LINES IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER SO AS THE PLANES SHOW UP IN ORDER IN MISSION BUILDER.

P-80C air.P_80C 1 NOINFO usa01 SUMMER

SABRE air.XP_86 NOINFO usa01 SUMMER
start the game,go into quick mission builder and fly the sabre and the p-80.
all should be well.

NOW OPEN UPTHE STD FOLDER AND HERE IS THE PATH TO FOLLOW STD/COM/MADDOX/IL2/OBJECTS.
INSIDE THE OBJECTS FOLDER IS A STATIC INI FOLDER RENAME IT TO OLD STATIC.INI AND SAVE.
OPEN UP THE MAIN GAME FOLDER AND FOLLOW THE PATH STD/COM/MADDOX/IL2/OBJECTS. THEN COPY THE STATIC INI
AND INSTALL IT IN THE OBJECTS FOLDER OF YOUR UNIFIED INSTALL. STD/COM/MADDOX/IL2/OBJECTS

GO INTO THE MAIN GAME FOLDER AND COPY ALL OF THE MODS OF A PERSONEL NATURE THAT YOU WISH TO CONTINUE TO HAVE
IN YOUR UI INSTALL.
GO TO THE U.I GAME AND PASTE THEM INTO THE MODS FOLDER.

GO INTO THE MAIN GAME FOLDER AND FIND THE PAINT SCHEME'S FOLDER/COPY IT/ GO TO THE UI GAME INSTALL AND HIT
PASTE/ANSWER ''YES TO ALL '' WHEN PROMPTED.
DO THE SAME WITH YOUR MISSIONS FOLDER IF YOU WISH TO TRANSFER THEM TOO.
THERE WILL BE A SEPARATE ''READ ME'' FOR THE MAGESTER ONCE I PUT IT ON SITE.

WARNING.......IT IS ONLY INTENDED FOR THE U.I. GAME. IT WILL CRASH YOUR ORIGINAL TO DESKTOP.

After installing the Magester go back to the air.ini file and put in the sabre and the p-80 text.

I found that my new copy of IL-2 1946 said it is 4.08, but something is different. So for you new guys, even if you think you have 4.08, run the 4.08 install provided by this web site. That was the solution to all my U1.1 install problems. As for 6DOF and the switcher, every time I switch versions with it I find I lose 6DOF. I have resulted to reinstalling it every time I switch. I will try hitting the * key next time and if that brings it back up I will be very thankful for having read this forum, for this is a problem I have had since buying my trackIR. But for a sure fix the 6DOF mod installs in seconds.

At this point, all is NOT well.
All the further steps mentioned are about getting your old mods into the new game. I have no issues in that area, I have transferred all my mods several times with UI 1.0.
My problem is that the basic install is NOT working for ME, and, apparently, others.
So, if the UI1.1 works correctly if installed correctly - believe me, I have installed it correctly.
Again, here's what I did:
Back up and remove previous game install.
Install IL2 1946
Install 4.08m patch
Install UI 1.1
Install UI patch 1.1.1
At this point, the problems are already happening, which is why I'm asking for help beforew I carry on. I don't want to take any shortcuts that might come back to bite me when I least need it.
I want to do my best to do this 'by the book'.
If the problem is elsewhere, where do I start looking?
All my previous mod versions worked fine, with just the normal problems, but no 'unusual' problems...now, when this weird sh*t happens, no-one seems to know how to help...
Frustration.
