I expect the P322 sounded much like the P-38's still flying today. I don't know if any restored and airworthy P-38's have retained functioning turbochargers as they add more complexity to the engine and exhaust system and are not useful at the lower altitudes at which restored aircraft operate. Most of the P-38's I have seen simply have a large exhaust stack exiting the top of the nacelle, no turbo.

Also you might as well try JAFAEM's sound mod

His sounds sound is just what i have heard them in P 51, Spit, and 109 in real life

Waow ! nice answers ! I see i'm not the only one loving the "Devil"

I tested all your links and I definitely Love this sound mod : http://www.mediafire.com/?bn2kteuvmny

It is much more confortable to fly with ! Thank you very much Fly!

I usually take fuel tanks for a few hours mission and this old sound gave me tremendous headaches with its "buzzzzzz" sound background

The Jafa P51 sound is so real and immersive ! so glad you gave me sounds for my both best planes !

To complete to "pimp my ride" I found this very nice Gunsight made by Catahoulak9 : viewtopic.php?t=7342&highlight=p38+gunsight

Cheers all
