You also have another option. Use Java Guncam. This will take screenshots of an area of the screen you specify. You can set it to activate on a button press, like the trigger of your joystick. Fraps doesn't allow that. Downside is, you get a very large number of images which you will need to convert into a moving gif or a movie. The results from Java Guncam do look good though.
