[DOWNLOAD] Hayabusas over Leyte, 1944

I like the Ki-43. I've built campaigns for all marks except the Ki-II Kai. So this is it.

This is a semi-historical, 8-mission static campaign, set during the autumn of 1944. You are a pilot in Sentai 30, a Japanese Army fighter squadron, equipped with the Ki-43 II Kai, and stationed on the island of Negros, north of Mindanao. Since the Japanese Navy lost the Battle of the Philippine Sea in June, the situation in this part of the Pacific has suddenly become critical. No one knows if the Americans in this situation are going for Formosa or the Philippines, but Sentai 30 has been sent south to bolster the defence, just in case. And to the east of you is the island of Leyte...

At this point the tested Hayabusa was becoming obsolete, so even if you fly the latest mark of that nimble fighter, you will still have a tough time, going up against high-performance fighters like the Hellcat and the P-38 Lightning. Putting it simply: the odds are not in your favour. Just being able to return to the base will count as a completed mission.

The campaign of course uses Delvpiers HUGE Philippines map. Thanks for the impressive effort, Delvpier!

Included in this campaign is 6 skins, including four Ki-43 II by Billfish and one Ki-61 by Jaypack44, and 1 x P38J by Imme. The Ki-43 skins comes from Billfish BIG New Guinea Ki-43 pack, many of them generic, useful in other campaigns. (The entire pack can be found here: viewtopic.php?t=18078) And one of the Ki-61 skins comes from Jaypack44's pack with generic Ki-61 skins, equally useful. ( viewtopic.php?t=18700) Thanks guys for your super work!

Hi Poltava!

When I finished making 33 missing missions for QMB-Pro on SAS (and soon QMB-Plus too)
I saw how difficult it is to make missions ready for public download, its a very
intensive work to build them knowning that the users of this wants to play them without
any problems. Therefore I have to make several tests, also write the readmes etc etc.

I made several missions only for my use but when I started the first time to make them
for the public I saw which work has to be done for this.

Therefore a very big 'thank you' for your allways accurate and wonderful campaigns!

Probably your best campaign yet. The briefings read much better and the pace is very well set.
Cracking good map too!

Thanks for the appreciation!

Yes, Delvpiers map is of course the basis of it all. As a mission maker you are a sort of humble servant to those who build maps, new aircraft, skinners, well to all all MODDERS, aiding in the spreading of their excellent work.
