SMOKEMOD REQUEST
I had some requests about the shipsmokemod i used, its the "Rofl ship and trainsmoke", ..now i wasn't able to find the official download link so here's a new one.
I use the latest HG&P effect mod next to the rofl's shipsmoke mod, so far i got no errors, if you have errors combining these mods you will have to decide whats best for you and use only one of them.
AND DON'T FORGET: ALL THE CREDITS GO TO ROFL !, I'M JUST A MESSENGER BOY.

ALTERD DEFAULT SHIP SKINS


Many thx to MrJolly for providing the basic textures , and JAMF and Bee who helped me with the technical part of the mod.



These textures wil change your default IL2 shipskins by using the existing default IL2 ship slots and overwriting the texture files


All the shipskins wil have their own download unless its an update, the USS BUNKER HILL has two downloads, each using a different ship slot, this way you can make your own combination and changing it back...


example; USS ESSEX + USS INTREPID
or
USS BUNKER HILL[Essex slot] + USS INTREPID
or
USS BUNKER HILL[Intrepid slot] + USS ESSEX


[If for some reason you think the textures are not up to your standerd, then completely delete the 'AlterdDefaultShipSkins' file and the IL2 defaults wil be back.]

yep, you are all correct about it m8's i rechecked it and its an error, ...wil have to delete the links and check them again before the new links wil be availible, verry sry for the inconvenience

Nice Skins. Very good Job!

Unfortunately, one can use not everybody, because there are too few aircraft carriers for it. Either Essex or Intrepid with Bunkerl Hill, but not Intrepid, Essex and Bunker Hill.
This resembles with the English aircraft carriers Either or, but not both together.

Sorry for my bad English.
My German is much better.

Sry dup, but the first LINK downloads had an error, so I'm making new ones got to check them before downloading them on the AAA forum...but right now I'm at work so mayby tonight I wil finish it, cya m8

You can not create new Ships, but is it possible to change ships?
I think to change the Default carrier in the Bunker Hill with the Skin.
And Essex and Intrepid only with new Skins

Is that possible?

sry thats not possible m8, the Bunker Hill is an Essex class type carrier while the generic US carrier is a Lexington class type carrier , the designs are too different like using the shape of a B17 to make it look like a Lancaster by painting it with British roundels and brown/green/black camouflage... you agree thats not goodlooking :wink:

No, not this way.
My thought was, to change the whole carrier. Not only the Skin.
Delete the Default US Carrier (Lexington) an use this slot for Bunker Hill (Essex-class).

It would be better to create an absolutely new ship in own slot, but miker said, does not know how one makes such a thing
