Hi guy's with my birthday not to far away, I had the idea of buying Track IR 5. But, when reading a review at SimHq - saying Il-2 wasn't made for 6DOF - I first want to know a little bit more. So if any of you could give his / hers expierience with this combination, I'll be happy.

Hey Henky,

no worries, it will work fine.

I have TIR5 in use, no trouble with it.
The most important things are:

1. Enable TIR5 in conf.ini of IL-2 Game

[rts]
ProcessAffinityMask=15
mouseUse=3
joyUse=1
trackIRUse=1
DisableIME=0

2. Download and install 6DOF Mod from sHr, available here on AAA
Follow the instructions step by step, it's explicid descripted

3. Finetune your TIR5 Settings, than you are good to go.

For some reason, i never gotten my TiR4 and the 6DOF mod to work properly, as in, no zoom by moving head into the monitor Maybe i did something wrong, but i did keep to the recipe. Will try again when the 409m mods are out.

schrem, did you try hitting sft+F1? You need to be in "non-gunsight view" for the zoom to work.
