Switcher for 4.09m and UI 1.1.1 until a better one is created.

This is to be done to your UI 1.1 switchable modded version you are currently using;

1. Create a restore point, if things go afoul for you just use system restore to return to this point. Wink

2. Extract 4.09m into an empty folder, name it 4.09m

3. Back up the fb_3do20.SFS in my IL-2 root folder (for later use maybe?).

4. Move the Paintschemes, fb_3do20.SFS, and readme's from the folder in step 1 to my IL-2 root folder.

5. Copy the Il2fb.exe from the _Game Switchers \ 4.08 Mods OFF (Original) folder in the Il-2 root folder and paste in the folder in step 1.

6. Copy and paste fb_3do19.SFS and fb_maps15.SFS from my IL-2 root folder into all three of the 4.09 Mods xxx in _Game Switchers folder in my IL-2 root folder.

7. Move the folder from step 1 into the _Game Switchers folder in my IL-2 root folder.

8. Copy _Switch-408_No_Mods.bat file from my IL-2 root folder onto desk top and rename it _Switch-409m.bat.

9. Open _Switch-409m.bat from step 8 by right click \ edit, then edit as follows, save and close;

10. Put .bat file from step 9 into my IL-2 root folder, create a shortcut for it and place on desktop. This is now my 4.09m switch button. Use the UI switcher as normal for the other versions.

11. Run the skins409m.exe into my Il-2 root folder.

Doing as above will give you the new 4.09m default skins in all 4.09 versions.

This does not return any of the planes to the 4.08m default skins I have looked at so far (remember green 190A4, A5).

You can open the skins409m.exe and also any other update.exe with fg 7zip and look at the files which are in there. Or just extract the skins409m.exe to a different temporary folder other than your il2 directory.

In this folder you see the files that are changed or added by the skins409m.exe.

Now replace the files of skins409m.exe in your il2 directory with the ones of the former version. You may have a backup of them or a second installation of il2 to take them from there.

I think replacing or better deleting fb_3do19.SFS and fb_3do20.SFS and replacing the 4.09 files.sfs with the one of of 4.08 must be enough to revert back to the old skins wit 4.08.

If not, you have to replace the void.bmp files too.

Always know which files are changed and always back those files up before changing!!!
