What does the mod "Bf-109_Pack_Common" do?
#1

Hi mate!

Trying to understand what new mods are into the new UI1.2 I have see into this one:

Bf-109_Pack_Common

-an empty folder named 'notused' (and about it I can imagine that no words must be expended)

-a lot of new class file (the files that make me write this tread)

So what I'm asking about is what this mod do and if there can be some conflict with other mods that we can have installed?

Hoping in a reply by the author/s or by someone that know the work of this mods I give you my best regards!!!

I think this is mesh upgrades that apply to all the 109 variants, thus no need to put in each 109 folder. You should be able to delete the empty folder (I did anyway)

Thanks Spinnettib for your reply!

So the mods are a general folder (I have deleted the empty folders too) for mesh improvement for the 109...thereby the deleted mirror mods for the BF109 shpold be inside?

Someone have read report about conflict with other mods?

cheers

Not quite clear on that question... to disable any mod without deleting it (for potential future use), just put a minus sign ('-') in front of the folder. Another interesting tidbit is that different mods may use AND CHANGE the same file, and this is one way mod conflicts develop - the app only reads the FIRST occurance of a file from the mods folder. If one mod uses a file, and then another one uses the same file, it only picks up the first one. When in doubt, you can look at the files in a mod, then file search for them in the existing mods folder to see if something already uses it..

Yes mate!

I do so everytime! And before install a new mods with class file I check if them are double in some other mods to search and avoid conflict!

At the moment I haven't yet installed this one but the Bf109 mirror mod class file isn't into!

At soon mate!

For conflict you can use Zuti Mods issues revealer in the 01_Zuti_DSMod_v0.8_RC3.5 folder.

You can use Zuti Mods issues revealer for every mods, just select the mod you want check in the "target mod".
Anyway I think Bf-109_Pack_Common is for the new openable cockpit.

It contains the new cockpit classes for the 109 variants with opening canopies. It was a last minute addition to get rid of a horrid bug we had appear when we edited the default cockpit classes.

Thanks Anto for the reply!

In the installation instruction is reported that the mirro mod needd be deleted (or disabled) , did it into this mod or we need to disable it for avoid conflicts?

Besides mirrors being a very rare feature on 109s (yes some had them but they were not factory built), if you use Wustenfuch's pits the mirror mod DOES cause issues.

Yes!

I agree that historiclly the mirrors isn't a standard future but a field rare future!

I'm asked only for know if they are into the mods for help other users if in the future the question will rise!

I haven't used the mirror mods in the past anyway because I belive in historically correct simulation (I fly so rarely and my skill progress are so rude that the 109 are still an advanced plane for me! I'm still at the begin of my flight school with the T.M. and my next 'll be the RWZ8).

About the Wustenfuchs cockpit have you still in contact for solve the rear cockpit missing plate?

cheers
