The Navy never used P-61,s operationally. They had several they used for airframe trainers and the Electra is a PV2 Harpoon and the Tigercat is an F7F. The F9F is the Panther I believe. The Navy used more aircraft in WWII than you mention above. How about the Vought OS2U Kingfisher and the Curtiss SOC and SO3C Seamew, not to mention all the Grumman Amphibs like the Goose and Widgeon and i believe the Duck was used during WWII. I think the Vought SB2U Vindicator was used by the Navy during WWII at least until 1942 or so there are probably quite a few more that are missing from your list.

Fellas, the F9F is the Panther/Cougar and it is already in game. The F7F is the Tigercat and is WIP.

THanks my dyslexia in there.

I put in the P-61 as most missions where in Pacific. I also think the kingfisher would be awesome!

The OS2U didn't carry a lot, One forward firing 30 cal Browning. The radio operator/navigator/gunner either had a single or twin 30,s. he also had a stick mounted in stowage that he could snap into the socket for flight control, along with a set of rudder pedals and flap controls, throttle and mixture.. There were small racks on the wings that could carry 100lb GP,s or depth bombs for anti-submarine. The aircraft was basically used for observation/scouting hence the designation OS2U. The U tells you that it is built by Vought like the F4U excepth then it was Chance Vought. The aircraft did have some unique features like ailerons that drooped with the flaps, which were slotted and a set of wing spoilers that worked in conjunction with the ailerons. It was a lot of times catapult launched from battleships and heavy crusiers. The float is outfilled with a catapult knuckle and a recovery hook for recovery at sea. Aft cockpit has an ADF loop for radio navigation. I believe there was several cases during WWII where Kingfishers rescued so many they layed them out on the wings and taxied back to the cruiser.
