[REQUEST] Unified BUTTONS file by AAA

David603 Wrote:I think creating more buttons files choices is rather pointless. At the moment most players are using either the buttons files that come with the Ultrapack or HSFX mod packs, or the SAS Online or Offline buttons. Since the SAS buttons have all the AAA and HSFX FMs (and for that matter, FMs for all the UP aircraft), there is no need to create what would effectively be an AAA branded version of the SAS Online buttons.

As far as ensuring all players were using the same FMs, this would have no effect. All you would have is that instead of 4 different buttons files being used, you would now have 5.

the buttons Ultrapack or HSFX and do not allow us to fly the planes are newer than the beginning of the topic.

my god
is it so hard to explain my wish and desire of many is that UP, HSFX, SAS and AAA agree together and having only one file BUTTONS
The single buttons file is already on its way, it will be included with the new unified mod pack that will replace HSFX, UP and the already defunct UI. Therefore this thread is pointless.

Its implied by there being only one mod pack, isn't it? Unless of course the UP people want to keep their own FMs, in which case there will probably be a switcher in the JSGME to allow people to choose from the default AAA/SAS/HSFX FMs and the altered UP FMs. SAS will probably continue producing updated buttons files to account for new aircraft being added between releases of the new mod pack, but there will only 1 FM per aircraft, or at most two.

I'm not asking to have only one MODPACK.
I only wish we had a unique and genuine flight model.
for all MODPACKS.
and so with the SAS is to launch a new file BUTTONS each new aircraft.
I think the AAA should do the same.

Okay, but whether you are asking for one unified modpack or not, that is the way the mod communities are going to go for all future modpacks. HSFX4.1 and UP2.0 are the last individual modpacks, in the future there will be only one modpack that will contain the work of all the major mod communities. Until that point I myself am quite happy using the SAS buttons with UP2.0.

Gents, please allow me to point on a maybe not so evident thing, that went unnoticed in the whole topic...

Pablo is Brazilian, and a non native english speaker... This mean he is not always choosing the perfectly right words to explain what is up.

Actually, as it is finally becoming clear, Pablo is pointing out that for every single type of aircraft in the sim, there should be a single FM, independet from wich Team the plane was developed.
Example:

Fw.190D-13 developed by AAA
Fw.190D-13 developed by SAS

same plane type, they should have the same FM

So he is proposing to have for every aircraft variant a specific FM, accepted by all the developing third party teams.

And this solution will for sure make all happy, avoiding unrealistic differences between two planes of the same type/variant/subvariant.

So I can confirm my "+ 1000" to this request.

And if this is already in development, I can only say: "Bravo! Go ahead!"

I beg your pardon if you already figured out what is going on, but I only want to help a little to make things simplier.

Thank you.

I agree, and am very saddened to see all the bickering "mine is bigger than yours", and such.

If there is to be an unification, all sides would have to be prepared to make a compromise.

There will have to be an open debate between the main FM makers - behind closed doors preferably, away from the forum trolls - where each FM will have to be analyzed, compared to all collected data and if needed adjusted.

There has to be a single standard set of FM's for online play. Otherwise this will be no unification.

Example: AAA team launches a new mod, the UI1.3 with his flight model and say that after a month UP launches Mod compatible with the AAA team with a new type of flight model.

this is bad, do not have to agree, because the same server will have two types of flight models.

So I'd rather have a single flight model.

For that the ball is in the UP guys court. People are happy to use are FM's but the UP guys clearly want theirs to be an option (even though theirs are wrong.... )

Unfortunately this is true.

However if the servers as Spis_vs_109 use the flight model of you putting AAA CRT=2, I guarantee that they will have to suck it sooner or later, because fewer people will lower their Mods.

So think about it, Warbirds of Prey putting CRT=2 with the flight model of you they will have to settle!

Here we go again then......... Who decides what the right or wrong FM is? How can you say UP 2.0 is wrong, and AAA is right, it's never ending......(Just my thoughts after reading all the different threads)
If no agreement can be reached, (it's still not too late), I'm quite sure there will be different options for the same plane.

From the planes they modified the teams behind those planes had worked their butts off to get everthing 100% correct. They'd spent the time to take into account other planes in Il-2 and match the FM's to those planes so there was an equal balance. That's why I said what I said.
However, it's my opinion and in reality, it is insanely hard to actually get the 100% proper fm. Il-2 is getting outdated, and it's flight model, although great, is not completely realistic (of course, it is a game).
