Permanent Wide FOV change - fingers crossed
#16

Oh, just to clarify I am running the game on a 22" at 1860x1050 with Ecrans fixer mod and
Sometimes Sans mod when it is having a stable day.

San's if you ever get to read these posts, I love your mod but it 3 times out of 5 I have to
reinstall it because it repeatedly crashes on start up.
Its in my top 3 mod of all times list along with the 6dof mod and Certs harder AI Mod.

I run 32 screen with the wide view mod and sans FOV. I never have had a problem with it. Never had it fail to start. I do not use Certs AI Mod but I do have 6DOF. I wonder if the AI mod conflicts with it?

uum I am not sure that it has anything to do with IL2 at all.
It a seperate program entirely that effects IL2. when I try to start the Sans program up
from desktop, thats when it 'fails' not when its working in the game.

Still thought its like using a middle man to get your FOV change.
My question is can we do without the middle man and go straight
to the root.

I run Sans FOV changer all the time. Its not super stable. There are times when it starts to zoom in without being commanded. Sometime restarting it (ingame using your command) fixs that, sometimes it doesnt. Occasionally the aircraft 'comes apart'... you will know it when you see it. Again restarting Sans sometimes fixes that. Sometimes the only way to fix it is to leave IL2 and restart Sans completely.

That said, for me its workswhile. Im running a 23' widescreen at 2048 x 1152 and it looks great! I get the extra width rather than having the top and bottom shaved off.

Have just tried the ecran mod. Whilst it doesnt add anything to your ingame view, it looks great for the FMB (I make a lot of maps)
