Strider, it sounds like you have a problem with the English Channel map. There are some possible solutions in some threads here at AAA. If your channel map runs fine on other missions then possibly there is a corrupt file in your vehicles (specifically the Matilda tank)?
shardana, Sorry there is no way to transfer this to the Beta map it's just not compatible in any way.
Someone found a small glitch in the early missions; there's a German train in England
I just put it there for some decoration and it has no guns so don't worry. If you're returning to England at low level and are near Canterbury you may see a Choo Choo Train chugging along. It's German. Sorry.
I tried removing the mission # 2 but it doesn't work.Comes out a strange Grey lines part of the pilot Jon Doe ? screen.
Before I give up ,there is a possibility to remove other planes besides mine from the beginning of the mission so that it could avoid the collision ? In few words can I put only one plane (Mine)in the tarmac in this mission?.It seems like the collision is in the sky beacuse parts of the plane or planes fall from the sky and one pilot is dead on the ground with parachute.
See if this can help.
Thanks
Missions 08_July, 09_July and 11_July are using air.BF_109E4, not air.BF_109E4_BoB, which I discovered from the skins not loading.
Thanks again for this great campaign! I have a new appreciation for the Spitfire Mk I.
Thanks, I saw that too, I was thinking I'd release a patch with this correction, and a correction of the German train in England. (Hopefully there won't me more, but I'm going to wait a while for people to go farther in the campaign.)
Thanks for the great campaign!
Finally got Ultrapack 2 working and installed and flew 1st mission last night. Great fun, shot down 2 Me 109 but burned up my engine in emergency power doing it. Glided to a crash landing at a friendly airfield on the continent. Hope to catch a ship across the channel, join the boys for a pint at the local pub and be up and flying the 2nd mission tomorrow,
Keep the great campaigns coming.
Neal
This campaign is very good and well thought out, it's also plenty hard enough for novice pilots like myself and I'm enjoying it a lot.
I did have to go in to the FMB and change the blue train to red, as I could not "skip time" while flying near the south east coast when it was blue(which is a big time saver for me as I tend to die a lot "LOL").
Thanks for making this one for us, and hope that you will post any others that you decide to make in the future.
Cheer's...PanzerFodder...
Yeah, sorry about the train PanzerFodder. At some time soon I will change the train to red and release a version 1.1 with a few other small corrections.
I agree it's difficult to survive. Interestingly enough, even though 54 squadron was almost always outnumbered, I actually decreased the amount of Germans in many cases to make it a little easier to survive. It's simply amazing to me that Guys like Al Deere, Colin Grey, 'Prof' Leathart, and George Gribble, were able to survive it at all. Most of the original squadron and many of the replacement pilots were killed.
When I flew this campaign in order to test all of the missions, I got shot down several times, (although I somehow managed, by pure luck to not get killed), and I actually knew what was coming because I built the missions!! I remember that during the Dunkirk part of the campaign I was hit on every single mission (including once by 'friendly fire') and I some how made it back to base every time. (Lucky)
Keep at it, Britain needs you at this difficult time, and watch out for Adolf Galland, he's one tough SOB.
I get to fly first mission but second refuses to work...have tried a reinstall of the campaign with no luck...sigh...I have a HSFX4.11 install...any hope of making this work?
Thanks!
You've made a very nice campaign, thank you!
Three words describe it best: Watch your fuel!
