Hello,

I just learned that there was a special variant of the Stuka : JU-87D2. Would it be possible to mod it?

It could tow gliders according to this web site http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkers_Ju_87 and here in French http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junkers_Ju_87



Also could somebody tell me what is this Ju_87D2 carrying? (If it is a JU-87D2) Is it a glider that has to be launched?

It would be cool if we could mod the glider hooked to the Ju-87D2 I guess the cable between the glider and the Stuka must have been very long to avoid damage from machine guns.

But I don't think there is the correct 3DS Max WWII glider existing yet..Too bad for realism

Of course we could create special aerial target shapes, not real Lutwaffe Gliders...I know that Stukas weren't used for target training (well during the Battle of Britain 1940 it was as if...), but I'm sure it would be fun to mod...

TBH, this would be pretty sick to see, but personally, I don't believe that the 87 would have enough power to tow, let alone just having bombs ;P. This would be nice to have, although I rarely see any missions with gliders...

I am not imagining things. This web site says the Ju-87D2 variant was planned. Has it really existed? I don't know. But Germands thought about towing gliders with the Stuke for sure.

I can't speak Japanese, but we've a lot of Japanese fellas who could possibly translate for us. Anyway, the strange installation on the Stuka's wing seem to be a sort of passenger compartment, and I remember I've read about something like that somewhere. I will check more precisesly!

What are "Germands"?? And why should it be a problem to fly with four people when this plane with a normal crew can easily carry 500kg bombs?? Or are you sujesting that the Germans of that time all weighed over a 100kg per person?? I would say this is a weird protype. Definately not something in standard service. If that where the case a lot more picture material would be known. I think most fans of German planes would prefer a flyable He177 or a Do 17 more than another oddball plane.

I can read some Chinese, it should be...

The other sentences are about torpedo bomber, so I think they could be ignored.
