so heres my quad core 2.4ghz overclocked to 3.2 ghz and a 3Dmark06 run to show benchmark and temps under load. I'm running liquid cooling on my cpu and stock cooling on my gpu's with the fan set at 65% durring this run. My last 3Dmark06 run at stock speeds scored a 11,186. By OC'ing my cpu I picked up over 4,00 points on this run.with liguid cooling my goal is to find a stable 3.6ghz.but until I get faster ram that will have to wait.

Davis,

Science... you've made it pure science.

That's a huge improvement right there! You want more?? Confusedhock:

That's the way to do it: Watching the core temperatures.

If you are on liquid, then you could definitely go to 3.6ghz. A friend of mine has same chip with SLACR name on the chip meaning it is the last stepping overclocked to 3.4ghz. You could go higher, but, did you do 8 hours of prime to check for stability?

Which water cooling setup do you use btw? I am on Corsair H50 at the moment cooling my precious i5 750.
