I Have that problem to when my game is loading sometimes it seems like it get's stuck,so here is what I found works for me ,I'm not going to guarantee it will work for you but you can give it a try,hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete+enter several times then when the windows task manager box is visible click on the minimize tad inside it , when it minimizes your game should start to load again.It works for me anyway give it a try and see what happens.

You need to install updates on CLEAN installation Install mods After patches.

Correct Install Sequence;
1. Il2 1946 (4.07 if from original disk)
2. 4.08
3. 4.09m
4. Whatever mod pack you choose.
Once you have 4.09m installed and working, it's a good idea to copy the game folder as a backup. That way when version 4.10 is released, you'll be ready to install to your copy.

How can you install mods into 4.08m? The unmodded game won't recognize the mods, so you will still have 4.08m. You need to install a mod activator before you can add mods, and you should do that after patching to 4.09m

A common reason for the 95% lockup after patching to 4.09m, for older sound hardware, is the new dlls in the 4.09m patch:
mg_snd.dll
mg_snd_sse.dll

The fix is to save those two files after patching to 4.08m, but before patching to 4.09m. Then, after patching to 4.09m, put the saved 4.08m files back, overwriting the new ones from 4.09m.

Why not?
More complicated install, slower loading times, not full online compatibility etc etc etc

Not complicated at all if you follow my guide. :wink:
