This may look like a Allied merchant ship but it is actuality a distinguished German merchant raider. armed with 6 x 5.9-inch guns and six torpedo tubes she racked up 11 ships either destroyed or captured. in a dramatic end she was sunk in an encounter with a aussi cruiser in which neither ship survived
