A 20mm cannon round through the landing gear equals inoperable landing gear.

And I did not realize that the rudder had been shot off my F4U-1C until I landed and switched to the external view mode.

It was such a harrowing experience that my antenna wire is scared stiff!!!!! :lol:

Try next time manually pump landing gears- bullet may just break automatic landing gear and corsair has its gears for landing gears, try it too.

It's been a while since I've flown a combat mission and I forgot to check to be certain that my landing gear had come down and locked. Manually lowering the gear likely would have saved the day.

And Fat Boy, I pull the harness up real tight so that I don't eat the gunsight when I pancake. :wink:
