Snowy maps in Perfect mode
#1

Hi all - hope someone can help.

My buddy has his summer maps that, in Perfect mode, show up as snow-covered. The snow is two shades of white - a bluish-white snow that surrounds runways and rivers, and pure white that borders these areas. Areas of green or desert show through this. The trees are still green.

Excellent setting is good.

He has an ATI card - Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 - an Asus mb - P5Q Deluxe, and an Intel Quad-Core.

On another perhaps related note:

Older missions that are being run now show the interior of the P-51Bs canopy covered with rainbow covered splotches mixed with mud.

Stationary B-17Gs are showing up in the Jimi Hendrix Experience - psychodelic colours and missing panels.

All of these errors can be fixed by replacing the planes with a different model and then going back to the original model: change the P-51B with a P-51D, then back to P-51B and B-17G with a B-17E then back to the B-17G.

Great days all.

Any screenshots of this phenomenon?
Sounds pretty... ahmmm... interesting.

Perhaps you should examine the foods and/or drinks you consumed before you experienced this.
Just kidding!

I hope you are able to resolve the issues!

I don't know much about ATI, but I remember reading somewhere that IL2 doesn't work well on perfect with (some?) ATI cards... though I'm sure someone has worked it out, maybe a driver issue?

Does he have the latest drivers for his card?

Has he recently installed newer drivers?

Tell him to go here http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.HTML and go through the process to get his drivers.

Uninstall the old ones, restart, install new ones, restart. Also try the community help at the ubi forums, there might be someone there that can help further.
