I know you all have gone through this probbably many times. Yes I have the unified installer and used it. I read the threads and still I am confused on how to set things up. I am very fustrated with this whole mods thing. The answer you give might make sense to others, while for some us poor little absent mind noobs get confused. We all arent wizes at these things. You say the default for the opening and closeing the Bomb Bay Doors is power 10. ok I tried it and still nothing. You say you have to assign a keymap for it. How to assign it so it works.
Can somebody plz answer things so other people like me can understand. I see you have to dl this in order to make this work. Or you have to dl this and then go into this .ini file or this static.ini file. This is more like a circus then getting a good thing going.
Yes I am 59 yrs old and I know you have people flying with you older then me, still we are all the same when it comes to computer stuff. So plz can some one just tell me how to make the freaken Bomb Bay Doors work.!!!!!

You click on the words 'power 10' once, then press the key you want your bombbay doors to open (in my install 'D' for doors)

59 and you can't figure out how to open the bomb bay doors? Holy crap you mean it gets worse? I'm 52 and can barely remember my name! What am I going to do when I reach 59? LOL! :lol: (all in good humor) It does get confusing at times and when I reading some complex instructions I simply feel like my brain is going to explode. :lol: Maybe some Ginko baloba and suduko when help! LOL!

Ok I did what you said to do and went into controls and went to power 10 and assign a key, went into game and still no luck with getting the Bomb Bay Doors to open. I went to out side view and look and the doors did not open. So now what do I do to get it to work

Which bomber are you using? The current version of the mod only works for certain bombers. That could be it?

I am flying the B-17's, B-24,B-25's,A-20's and the TBF and TBM. I have a key for droping my bombs in the vanialla 4.08 and I assign it as the same in the Mod 4.08 and 4.09. However in the mod version my bombs wont drop. Is there something I have to do for the bombs to drop? Even if the BBD dont open. Thanks for any help.

Bomb bay doors mod
For the following bombers you must set a new key to open the bomb bay doors
Mosquito Variants, B25 Variants, B29, B17 Variants, B24.
The function to set for the Bomb bay doors to open is function 'Power 10' within the controls

The above is per Mr Jolly way down towards the bottom of the UI download thread.

I use the "V" key....use what ever tricks ur trigger...or bomb bay doors...ha ha..

Ok I have finally got the BBD to work. I like to make a suggestion when you say power 10 you should make it to read as throttle setting 10% or power 10% where there is no key assignment to it.
Here all along I thought you meant power 100 which would be 100% or power 10 since 0 would mean 10. make a little more easy for us absent mind people to understand. Also if you are wondering why
I am so absent mind is because I am suffering from Agent Orange and a few other goodies I picked up while serveing in Viet Nam. so my mind is not as sharpe as when I was younger.

Yeah, I agree with you 100%. That is the biggest problem with this site.
I just cut and pasted what was already put down by the powers to be..
I had to screw with it a few times myself before I accidently hit on the correct spot..

There are some very computer savvy people here and they know what they know while we, on the other hand, can't read between the lines because we don't know what we don't know...

I am glad though that they have lots of patience with us computer challenged fokes..lol

Exactly.. I never did either, and also flying since first release... This is part of the latest mods.. was confusing me too.
