Flying a custom 'Green Screen' map the other evening, what was causing a problem was the horizon, which wasn't affected by the textures, so F3 flyby's were unuseable.
Now, thinking about green screens, they are pretty much that, a screen behind the object.
Now, I understand that objects have to be low on Polygon count to stop the game grinding to a halt, but here's my 'thought'.
Would it be possible to create a rectangular block (6-sides), but about 8000 metres by 8000 metres (in-game size), it would be flat and with a bright green texture, which could be laid flat on the ground or upright on it's side, and if possible, lay flat across the top?
This would pretty much create a closed 'Green Screen' studio box that in FMB could be flown inside.
It's just a thought, but I have to ask, cheers, MP.
