Danger River Missions 7 Pack:
these are 7 of my older Danger River missions that i made many years ago... but hey, old or not, they still play good and being on some of the older maps they run like a banshee in 1946! lol! notice the frame rate at the top of the pic...hey, on my older machine (and in the newer maps) i'm lucky to get 40 FPS...not way over a hundred!
anyway, they play well, even today. only thing is, evidently one of the 'newer' versions of IL2 must have changed the way the game reads the mis.properties files... and though they read fine when you load them up...if you go into the description in FMB it shows a blank. (shrug) still doesn't affect the missions though, though it might wipe out the old descriptions if you open it in FMB and then save it there. dunno.
whatever though, the missions are a lot of fun and i still play them on a regular basis... they're ground pounder/fighter protection missions mostly and all Russian vs Germans (as back in those days we didn't have US or other forces in IL2 yet!) and it's fun to frag a lot of the enemy ground vehicles and equipment and defend against the intercepting enemy fighters. give them a try! nothing to lose, hey!
as always, i play single player by using the game's coop mode... so they're made for coop play so you can select whichever aircraft you want to fly...and can be used in coop online or off. just drop the folder with the mission files in it into your Missions/Net/Coop folder and load up and play!
