[VIDEO] SOW:BOB SPITFIRE TEST

Blasph-Mossquitty Wrote:Do you think SoW will include more RAF campaigns than just one about the BoB? The BoB only lasted about seven months, so there at least should be a D-day campaign [typhoons, Beaus, etc], an RAF night bomber campaign, as well as a possible RAF '46 one.

Actually the BoB lasted between July 10 to October 31 so around 4 months. If you go by the luftwaffe version of events, then you do get a longer time-frame Wink

Right again, Trooper! The first of the series will be called "IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover. The name tells us all.

The spitfire had better handling than what IL-2 displays, and if they don't fix it (and several other things) in SoW [like plane armor], I'll be very disappointed.
if by that you mean when the plane baraly touches sumptin an breaks then yah im with ya

Huh? Armor does not protect you from ground hits.

Actually according to many books on the Battle of Britain it is clear there was no real start date, since the first aircraft shot down was a bomber in the Forth of Firth in about April time ( sorry I don't have the book readily available at the moment ), and then there were still raids going into November although smaller scale nuisance raids.
Even the BoB day of 15th September is merely just a day of particulary heavy fighting, it neither symbolises the beginning or end of the battle. :-?
