I have a problem with IL-2. For some reason, I have to disengage automation for the gunner I enter, but I can't remember how to set it to where when you enter, it releases it to your control, and when you leave, it resets it to auto. Do you or anyone here know how to do that or what the keys are?

To do what you want your have to assign a key to "Toggle Level Autopilot" which you can find under "Miscellaneous Controls" in your Controls Setup

When you press what ever key you have assigned to "Toggle Level Autopilot" in game, it will come up "Autopilot Automaton On/Off"
