Am talking about the damage model and how it works in IL2
It goes through 4 stages;
1, bullet holes.
2, first stage 3D damage.
3, second stage 3D damage.
4, frailer of part, part brakes away from plane.

Plus we will have fuel leaks, oil leaks, damaged instruments, control cables
Wing spars, and not every plane will explored when it hits ground, there will
Be some if the situation calls for it.

Oh, that sound better and instead of planes exploding on impact.

Why not have planes shatter into a thousand pieces like Werner Voss's Dr.I

And will planes explode in mid air?

There are alot of differences between the Soldat of WW 1 and of WW2

The soldiers in that squad of 3 represent more of what the Luftwaffe soldats resemble versus Wermacht...

For Soldats of the Great War depending on the time period there is variety...1914 until mid to late 1916 they would have worn Picklehaubes, and Feldmutzes, the Stalhelm was not introduced until late 1916. The WW 1 Stalhelm was bigger than the WW 2 stahelm and more Tortise shaped as well...

Not all German soldats wore "jack" boots (Only in "Combat", "Hogan's Heroes", or "Rat Patrol" does this happen), actually most in both the Great War and WW 2 war low boots with Gemaschens (Ankle protector similar to the British type only canvas) or puttees. The boots actually resemble the Brogan boot of the American Civil War with the exception of the hobnails.

This leads to an interesting question ?

That could be phrased this way

Who is DM, planemad?

Who is plane mad, DM?

Is DM plane mad?

or is DM just JM an thus just quite right Smile
