Move your "Config" to use later also the "user" folder that has your control
settings and move those into your new install.

After that REMOVE EVERYTHING.
While your at it think about updating to 4.09m.
Then look at this.I use it and love it. for small modded games you cant beat it.

And just when you think you've got it all figured out, more issues arise! I start the uninstaller on the DVD, it stays at gathering information Forever, it doesn't even start, not a single bar, tried the one in the start menu, did the same, I can't just delete the entire IL-2 folder to the recycle bin can I?

Actually yes you can. Smile

Follow the guide here if you are getting the Mod Activator, it is very good step by step instruction :

Well, this is strange. I managed to uninstall it Completely, but now when I run the installer on the DVD, before it even starts an error pops up saying "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid. C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{79438F1E-DEC3-443D-9DCD-FECE2D68C605}\1033.MST" What the heck does this mean?

Update: I think I'm just going to wait for a reply from someone besides Heinkel who can actually give some decent advice or suggestions other than just google it, which I did, and told to do it again, which is Not helpful at all.

Well I found plenty of solutions to the problem, tho some of them may just not be isolated to what you are trying to do.
