Operation Yankee Team
Three Days over laos.
June 1964: The United States initiates low-altitude target reconnaissance flights over southern Laos by U.S. Navy and Air Force aircraft. Two days later, similar flights were commenced over northern Laos. These flights were code-named Yankee Team and were meant to assist the Royal Lao forces in their fight against the communist Pathet Lao and their North Vietnamese and Viet Cong allies.
Jun 6 A USN RF-8A Crusader is shot down over Laos by AAA. Although the pilot is captured by Pathet Lao forces, he escapes two weeks later.
Jun 7 A second USN RF-8A is shot down over Laos by AAA.
Jun 8 USAF F-100Ds conduct a strike against Pathet Lao AAA sites in Laos in retaliation for the downing of two USN RF-8As.
These missions were flown by USN RF-8A Crusader's, USAF RF-101 Voodoo's, & F-100D Lead Sleds. As such the TF9-J Cougar will stand in for the Voodoo's and the F-86F-40 will stand in for the Lead Sleds. Custom skins for the TF9-J and the F-40 will be included.

point (IP) is Alpha Lima 24 turn 270 deg.drop down to under 1000ft and arm your camera's. \nReconoiter Alpha David -24, Alpha David-26, Alpha David -28,
Recover your Aircraft back at Da-Nang and rearm for tommorrows Missions.
\n\nJune 7th 0600hrs. You need to be at EOR ready to launch by 0610hrs The rest of todays flights will be launching in at 0612.
Todays assignments, Low altitude Recon, target areas are as Follows your IP is Alpha David 29 turn 180deg and drop down, better light
the fire Big Daddy cause Charlie knows your comming Recon Alpha David-28, 26, 24 turn 090 and Haul ASS back to Da Nang.
\n\nJune 8th 715hrs \n In retalation for our aircraft losses over the past two days MACV has ordered a strike against the targets in Alpha
David 28,26,& 24. (F-8E) You are to load up with 50% fuel and iorn bombs and follow two flights of USAF F-100's into the target areas destroy the
AAA guns and any targets of Oppertunity you encounter. Recover your aircraft aboard the USSHornet operating just off the coast SSE of Da-Nang.
