Three birds with one stone?
#1

Just wanted to share this short video showing a small part of a mission I flew in my 109E-3 earlier tonight. You will see why it is entitled "Three Birds, One Stone" once you see it, haha.

I actually did that in 1946 2 days ago. going head on with Bf-109s. I regret not saving the track

Awww, Rad, I would have liked to see it! Confusedhock:

As a general rule of thumb I just save every track of every mission, and delete it afterward if nothing interesting happens or use it to analyze what I'm doing wrong in the air. You never know when cool stuff like this is going to happen! Big Grin

Great video and shooting. You probably are good at pool too. Smile BTW I love music you used, what is it?

Thanks juan! Actually, I have an Olhausen regulation-size pool table in my room! Big Grin

The music is Hans Zimmer's "Dream is Collapsing".

So, as Brits would say: you "cannoned" the three planes in one shot. Big Grin I knew you had to be trained to get that. Wish I had one of those tables at home too. Thanks for the music info. The music of Inception...may be the shooting was a dream. :Smile)

Thanks juan! :Smile)

Trained? Well, I used to fly one of the last P-51 Mustangs to serve in the USAF, back in 'Nam... used to strafe Charlie's MG nests, bomb camps, etc. Just kidding! I actually have no experience with aerial gunnery in real life. I do have some real life flight experience, countless hours of firearms and marksmanship experience, but no aerial gunnery experience (much less any real training) haha. I wish! IL-2 is the closest I've ever gotten to gunning down a real aircraft or so much as firing a bullet from a plane lol. I've just played flight sims since I was a kid. This video involved as much luck as it did any skill.

I do hope, however, that sometime during the next 2-3 years I can attain one of my life-long goals: to build my own 1:1 scale, historically accurate Bf-109 or maybe even a FW-190! Someone I know has a 190A-9, and I've been jealous since I first laid eyes on it! Cry

Wow, 1:1 109, that would be incredible! :o
You mean with working engine? A real flying model to seat in? That must be many years of work, and you'll need a huge workshop...I mean a hangar
I know a lot of people that would be jealous. :Smile)
