It's worth all the hard work over the years when your son comes up to you (as mine did a year ago) and asks "Dad...are we still at war with the Germans?".

Hehe, well, the poor thing is, my uncle went to Las Vegas for vacation some years ago...and he was asked by several people if the war is over or not...(well, my favourite was: "Did you come by car?"...yeah from Germany to Las Vegas by car
)
Anyway, looking really forward to this map!

Hello all.
Only a very brief message. I've been away for the last week and a half because on the 6th November we had a gorgeous baby girl. We've called her Violet
Sadly, we were in the hospital for about a week because
a)my wife lost lots of blood and needed a transfusion.
b) Violet was severely jaundiced and had to spend time in the Special Care Baby Unit
c) Some mistakes made by some of the hospital staff in treating the jaundice made it much worse
Anyway, after an incredibly stressful and tiring week we came home. It's lovely being home together, and I'm slowly getting used to the broken sleep and nighttime feeds.
Anyway, Violet and Sarah (my wife) are fine now, but as you can probably appreciate I don't have much time for the map right now, so I wouldn't expect to see it until probably after Christmas.
Anyhoo, thought I'd check in. Thanks for the well-wishes.
Joe

Glad to hear the little girl (and the big one) are okay now. It must have been terribly stressful for you all.
This is just a game, we can wait.
