Then it's obvious that it is not this mod the one causing the problem. FWIW, it does not modify ANY files related to gunsight reticules. Look harder :|

Thank you very much for this - I loved the Sabre the first time I saw it. As an Australian I am biased as to which is the best variant and it is of course the Avon powered 30mm gunned Aussie version.
* A small number of Sabres, 112 in all, were built by Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) in Australia. Although they were externally very similar to other Sabre fighter variants, they featured major structural redesign to accommodate the powerful Rolls-Royce RA.7 Avon engine with 33.4 kN (3,400 kgp / 7,500 lbf) thrust, and revised armament of two 30 millimeter Aden revolver cannon, with a total of 162 rounds of ammunition.
In my dreams I see this beauty with the Mk213 from the Me410 in the place of the Adens and tearing holes through the enemy in the skies of Korea.
Again, thank you and congratulations on a marvellous mod.

Does anyone have any reference images for F-86s from Phil. Air Force Blue Diamonds? Got this so far...

Think we'll ever see a stationary model to populate our airfields?

Anybody know where we can find technical drawings for this plane? I'm going to go looking for them. I've never done templates before, but I'm finding myself drawn to doing more and more panels for this plane. Seems each skin I make, I need to add another panel somewhere.
PeterD's plane is just too good to leave it "bare".
No offense PeterD. You did a great job. I think the rest of us just want to help out.

No offense taken mate. If you get a good panel template, I may end up borrowing it

This is really a great work. I just don't have the words to say how much I admire your work PeterD and the work of those others modders here. I've tried myself to do something here in Il2 but I had to give up in front of my little abilities
I wanted to thank you for your Sabre, but also to report a bug: when I select the YP 80 now I see that the pilot is raised, and his head goes out of the canopy. I think it's due to some sort of hier.him problem, maybe the Sabre file conflicts with the Shooting Star's one. But I also don't know if I'am the only one who is having this issue...
Many compliments again (I hope in a future counterpart for the F-86  ) and hats off
Thanks!
That shouldn't be the case. It does not interact with the P-80 in any way. Maybe you messed something up in another mod's hier.him file :|

PeterD, I have to hand it to you. This ha the most ridiculously cool damage model I have ever seen. Simply brilliant.

dead pilot is behind the seat.

PeterD,
I'm loath to mention this, but I noticed the plane is missing a pitot tube.
Note right wing tip.
Also, It is not well known, I don't think, in the sim community, but the F-86 Nose landing gear would rotate 90 degrees so the nose wheel went up "flat" into the nose wheelwell, because there was not enough clearance between the top of the gearwell and the bottom of the intake for a "traditional" gear retraction. I have no idea if that can even be modeled in this game. I'll try to hunt down some video or documentation for you on the subject, but I imagine you probably have tons already.

Pete,
I can't belive I found it so fast. At 1:03, you can see the gear retract. Notice the nose gear turn.

This is the A5 with the V-shaped windscreen. I'm not sure if that element is present in the A5 model, but it certainly wasn't present in the XP-86
The pics you have there are either E or F versions I think.
I know about the front gear rotating 90 degrees, however the game engine is quite limited in that regard. It's not impossible to do it, but it needs some extra coding that I can't do I'm afraid.
@IAF.116~Jagr: I know, open hier.him in wordpad, look for
Pilot1_D1 and replace the line:
Code:
Attaching 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0.00906 -0.99964 0.41896
with this one:
Code:
Attaching 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0.00906 -1.79964 0.41896
Problem fixed. If you mess something up just restore the original hier.him and wait for a patch
