You have to remember man the reason the German usually get all the light is because they were a major part of WW2.

Also this plane was based on the Ta 183 with help from German scientist. so it makes it less original.

And personally im excited about Korea (In fact im working on the mig) But not every one is to crazy about .

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulqui_II
here you have some info about the pulqui II, it wasn't a copy or based on the Ta-183, it was a desing that came from two differents desings from the german team and the argentinian team.

Anyone for an X-Wing its gave hope to 1000s of rebels Tongue sorry juan had to pull your leg mate nice plane was it based on a mig 15 Tongue

I see,

youre right fly_zo but he got me started. Anyways, I hope some one gets an interest for this bird

being unique on its kind, and being built in such an unthinkable place like Argentina.

Liam, it wasnt based on the Mig 15, but has one thing in common. The Mig and the Pulqui were built

using the Ta 183 blueprints however the Pulqui its not a "copy" of the Ta-183 it was made by two

teams of engineers (one of the Argentinean FMA and a German one from Focke Wulf) who came up

with different proyects and finally decided to fusion both into one plane wich ended up being the

Pulqui.

Regards!

I think is an interesting idea, although the plane didn't fight, there are lots of planes in the game that didn't fight either. As some modders are making Sabre and Mig-15 I don't see why the Pulqui II shouldn't be there too.

It is just matter of time to wait for a modder to do it.

Good luck with the project, I hope it comes out soon!

- ariel__s - 23.02.2009

Why not doing the Pulqui II? It was an amaizing airplane, icon of the Argentinean Air Force.

I know it never had action in combat, or never was mass produced, but it would be nice to fly it on IL2.

xwing and tie interceptor are next on my list

While I personally don't have much interest in the plane, I hope you can find someone willing to help or decide to give it a try yourself. Since the plane has a lot in common externally with the Ta-183 and Mig-9, maybe some heir.him editing would create a reasonable looking model?

- Anthony817 - 28.02.2009

Well, i can see a little interest here, and all i can say is "Yes".

Who cares if 5 were built? how many Heinkel Lerchers III where built? 1!! but it was a blueprint.

How many Uber Alles Strange lulz ME262 where built? 1! again, a blueprint.

This One Flew, can shot down a F80 and so on. So i would like to see this bird, because it was the First South American jet fighter ever built. Well, i think it was the Pulqui I, but you get the Point.

Common! think about us!, Argentina got some skins and a map, nothing more, we really need an airplane. I know someone will not take the job, but maybe other will say "Yeah, why not, these guys down there are bored, they have the UK and the Falklands.... something is missing.. HA! an argentinian plane!"

Think about it.

- SVHAK - 01.03.2009

Hi

Argentina is big & has lots of talent, isn't there 1 Argentian modder out there willing to work on your aircraft??

At the end of the day, modding & creating a/c is very time consuming & a lot of hard work & human hours seems to go into all this creating new aircraft & they obviously need to have an interest in the subject a/c being constructed or it simply does not materialize.

Your best bet is to find yourself an Argentinian modder who would have a personnal interest in your aircraft.

I'm usually not such a big fan of planes belonging to a period of time out of WWII, which is supposed to be the era depicted by this sim, however I fully support projects like the Mig-15/F-86 because they make sense both historically and in gaming terms.
Sabres and Migs battled it out fiercly in Korea, many WWII aces went on to fly the Sabre, dozens of kills were scored by each type and those early jet battles have become part of the Legend of air combat. That is why they make sense historically. In addition, the Mig and Sabre balance each other game-wise, they justify each other as arch-rivals just like Spitfires in AEP were there because some pilots wanted to pitch them against the many 109s.
I'm all for Korean War jets and OOF biplanes because they add historical, legendary, challenging scenarios. You liked Zekes vs Wildcats ? You're gonna love Migs vs Sabres and Albatross vs Spads.

But the Pulqui ? So much as I appreciate the achievements it represents, I don't believe it belongs in IL-2. Only five of them were ever produced, it never fought... Though it's up to modders to decide wether or not they'll take up the project, I'd consider it a waste of time.

Oh, BTW, ever heard of this aircraft ? : http://avions.legendaires.free.fr/Images/Gtyphoon.jpg

Cheers

Porco, the day that a real Tiffie model enters this sim, I'm flying on your wing.

- 3dwa21 - 07.03.2009

The plane looks more like a mig-15.
