Are ships built in sections, could a bigger ship be bashed by adding a middle section, etc?

Some changes in ships shape are possible by combining existing elements, you can't expect miracles but there could be some nice additions IMO. Anyway, more ships the better we really are lacking in that department.

Which one is that? If it's in Object section than it's easy, in that case you can do it yourself, there is explanation how to do it on first page, posted by MiWa.

There are 3 hull sections for every ship. 3 superstructure parts are possible for each.

Strikes me we can do some kitbashing.

Bet we can axe the masts on the Sea Truck (yeah!). Nothing dumber looking than anchored sail boats with sails unfurled. Not to mention the pathetic sails (mizzen should be gaff rigged if up at all).

anyway... cool stuff. Much can be done simply by removing/changing FLAGS. The trawler would be a fine jap subchaser (kaibokan or subchaser) painted gray.

Yeah, I wanted that ages ago. Though to be a USN oiler she'd need to put on 15,000 tons or so, lol.

Adding clones of objects that are categorized under "Objects" in FMB is piece of cake, MiWa posted instructions in first page. Skinning these objects is harder part but we can use splashscreen method to find out layout of the skin.

Another thing that could be possibly done is to merge two or more objects into new bigger one. Haven't try this but maybe it's possible.

....so teach the man how to catch fish and you solved his problem for good .... give man a fish and ....

I can add this object for you but I can't make skin, I suck badly when it comes to painting and you are right about fishing I'll rather teach you how to do it yourself, that's way more usefull than doing the work for you.

i'm perfectly aware i need to learn that ( cos of all ideas your cloning solution cosed) .... it's just you guys come out with new stuff weekly ..... my only brain cell is dangerously overheated Big Grin

If you could write a tutorial on this it would be great, this is what we need for the BoB scenarios.

The ones at the front are the Chain Home RDF transmitters, about 350 ft high, the ones at the back are the recievers. We could bastardize the crane object for these, I hope!
