Yes, agrred, Joe talk about that, and that's cool, just imagine:
- install the map
- run IL-2
- and "play" immediatly
For me, first, it will be:
- install the map
- run IL-2
- run the FMB to make a dogfight type mission (putting homebase)
- and fly, alone, just to enjoy to fly 8)

Yep, snap. That's exactly what I will do. I might do what I did on the BETA as well and spend an hour just exploring

Exactly like me! But one day we should understand that this is IL-2, not Flight Simulator

Lovely map Canon. is it 1:1??
Someone should also make sub pens for Brest, Lorient, saint nazaire, la rochelle and bordeaux that look like sub pens and not like mixed bridges!
I would do it myself if able to but i dont.
As the bunkers had different amount of inlets(where the sub docks) the easyest way would to make a block of lets say 1 or 2 inlets that you then put together to the apropiate number of inlets that was in that perticulare sub pen.
then we need the lanchester with a tall boy bomb!
ohh my oh my...
here is a litle look of how they look and how they where used.

If I remember weel, it's more something like 2:3 scale.
For sub pens and bases, should be cool, the Lorient one is wonderfull, but as you can see in the previous page, the map stops near Saint Brieuc for the West and probably between Plo

LOL, it's always worthwhile populating the luftwaffe bases so that, whilst exploring, we can still have some fun strafing!

Does that mean we get to make requests for our own towns as well
? Just kidding. I should be on the map IIRC, at least the nearest airfield should be : St Jacques, South of Rennes, KG40 satellite base in 1944 if memory serves... I live right under the East approach route.
Is Brest on the map ? Can't remember off the top of my head... If it is, there's a small town just 25km North-West of it called Ploudaniel where I grew up. It never was a strategically important place, but the very first RAAF casualties of WWII, Flight Lieutenant John N. Bell, and Sergeant Charles W. Harris, are buried there. They were part of the crew of a Walrus that was sent on a top secret mission to rescue De Gaulle's family on June 18th 1940. The plane crashed for unknown reasons and all on board were killed.
Cheers
Nico

I tryed once to make a map from Avranche to La Rochelle, french West sea coasts, but had problem with MicroDem.
What is the madonna you are talking about?

Is Brest on the map ?
Like I said before, looks like the map ends near Saint Brieuc, so...
But by the South I thinks Rennes could be include, so Saint Jacques will probably be included (hope it)
