I agree with Scharnhorst,

I would pay for the Slot map as an add-on. Period. No missions, no planes, just that gorgeous map. Goes to show you how off-base 1C/Ubi/Oleg/whoever were when they made the PTO and decided not to open up the IL2 tools to 3rd parties. I assume the Pacific Team won't take donations direct, so instead I'll make another donation to the AAA website to show my appreciation for the Pacific Team and Mr. Jolly, QTim and the others. I'll match what I paid for IL2 1946....$19.95 (paid twice, actually--long story) so how's about $40? I'll take care of it in about an hour when I get home from work.

Scharnhorst., the only payment we desire is missions/campaign written, screenshots taken (and posted!), and enjoyment from the players.

tater

I promise I will be making campaigns on this map when it comes out. I will plan to have several actually, both historical and open ended. Just patiently waiting for the map 8)

Donate the money to the AAA site.

Anyone who feels compelled to pony up, donate for the site.

(The link is inoperative)

^^^ donation thread for AAA site upkeep.

We'd be nowhere without this site.

Unfortunatlly no one is more blind than that who doesn't want to see.

It will be pointless to try to impress the anti-mod corud, they wouldn't see a quality mod even if it came out and bit them...

So don't worry 6000+ people wil apreciate your most excellent work guys, rest easy knowing that your map is objectivlly the best that Il-2 series has seen and it will be very, very difficult to beat as better map ever Wink.

A map like this one is all that has been missing from this great flight sim.
And topping the default PTO maps is not very difficult. But to create a map this size and this beautiful is absolutely an astonishing achievement.. I actually bought 1946 after seeing the first screens of the slot, and they just keep getting better. I have always been disappointed with the default maps..
Keep up the great work!!

I wonder how many new sales of IL-2 1946 this site has generated? A few, I bet!
