Problem importing airfield from other map - mandrill7 - 15.08.2010
I am starting to get back into doing a little work on my Army Group Centre map and decided to import an airfield, as a break from doing endless terrain creation.
So I brought up Kapteeni's Svir map in my FMB and selected a single airfield and followed the steps in Kevin P's textures tutorial (pages 30-34). So far so good.
I exited, copied over the new "airfield.static" into my mapmods map folder and brought my WiP map up in the FMB. This is where the sad part begins.
I clicked "load as... " and gasped in horror as the entire object population of the Svir map, including all 4 airfields dumped into a large forest in Belarus. Hey, wait a second! I was supposed to get ONE SINGLE AIRFIELD, that I could then move into place!
Anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

There is also another manual , by Boomer, how to copy airfields, at the link :

I think it is unnecessary to create special static file.
What I do, is as it follows:
1. select the airfield on e.g. Svir map by Alt+left mouse button .Airfield turns red.
2. Ctrl+C : red colour disappear, you have airfield in your PC clipboard.
3. Load your WIP map in MapBuilder.
4. Point where you need the airfield, Ctrl+V : voila, airfield is there. Still red, now you may move or rotate it, as needed.
Enjoy.

Spassiba, Uzin!
Uspekha! I just did a test flight from Bobruisk to Orsha and took off and landed.
Thanks to Kapteeni for the great airfields!
