Hyperlobby problem. ???
#1

O.K. it's probably nothing to do with the mod, but I've started getting a "Run Time Error 52;" when I try to open HL.

Full scans with AVG , Avast and Black light rootkit detector have not come up with anything + I've reinstalled HL and uninstalled any software installed prior to the problem.

Has anyone encountered this, or know of a fix?

i have not come accros this error before, what i suggest is copy the error or type it out infull and search hyperlobby site for help, is there a forum? try there or google it. let us know what happens, would be useful if it ever occured to someone else.
make sure you select the right directory for your game after the changed exe. also allow the new il2.exe access again to the net via firewall, my mcafee wanted me to allow access after it was changed

Cutting power to your modem/router and rebooting fixed that problem for me once. Hope you get back up soon. GL!

Seems that HL will start on my backup XP OS, but not the SP2 OEM install. Only problem there is that I need OS2 to install my (M-Audio) sound card drivers. Cry

Tried all the above, and had a post at Hyperfighter forum for the past week. I'm getting the error whether connected or not, which may suggest some conlict in the "Aping.exe" - but where to look, firewall permissions all ok.

Entered "Disable=1" under "[IL-2 Sturmovik]" in hlpro.ini and everything is back to normal Razz

i have the same thing, error 52 same screen! uninstalled hl, cleaned registry reinstalled a few times, same error, read this is a pathway problem, but it's not even loading. i see a screen exacltly as you do.
tried the under il2 forgotten battles type.... doen't make much sense, A, i can't find an "ini" in program files and B, there isn't that line in what i'd think the ini is (config file)
Weird i don't seem to be able to get a fresh install.
All i've done is tried to restore to an earlier time, for other reasons, and my firewall comodo, prevented HL modifying a reg key, i turned comodo off, and have since had this serror, yeah i uninstalled comodo too, ran a virus check on a trail of bull guard, nothing, p.c seems clean
