Missed this announcement earlier this year by Jiri but he has been hard at work updating Hyperlobby after a 7 year hiatus.

First I have a period video that was done less than ten years after the battle.

Part One of a Naval Training film from 1950 based upon the 1948 document "NAVPERS 91067, The Battle of Midway Including the Aleutian Phase, June 3 to June 14, 1942: Strategical and Tactical Analysis by Richard W Bates" (later Rear Admiral Bates) at the Naval War college. I have never been able to find part two of this training film.

Warning!!
Period prejudices towards the Japanese are still very much evident in this 1950 program.

Now a more recent retelling of the story by Montemayor. I am not exaggerating when I say that in my opinion his videos rival several commercial documentaries that have been professionally done. After an almost 15 month delay Part Two, which is now Parts Two and Three, of the Midway Battle are out.

Ich habe im Auftrag von John das Forum auf eine neue Software und einen neuen, schnelleren Server umgezogen.
Dabei kann es natürlich vorkommen, dass mir Daten verloren gegangen sind oder beim Datenimport von dem alten Forum
in das neue Daten nicht übernommen werden konnten.

Ich möchte euch bitten, wenn ihr Fehler findet, diese hier zu posten...

• Dinge wie Avatare, bitte ich euch selbst wieder hochzuladen, leider sind einige verloren gegangen.
  
• Links in den Forenbeiträgen werde ich nach und nach ersetzen, da ich diese von Hand ersetzen muss. Beitragsersteller, können mir sehr gerne helfen, indem sie ihre Links in den Beiträgen überprüfen und ggf. wenn nötig, ersetzen.
  
• Einige User haben keine Moderatorenrechte mehr, dann bitte hier melden und nach Freigabe von John ordne ich euch dann der richtigen Gruppe zu.
  
• Solltet ihr nicht mehr registriert sein, registriert euch bitte erneut. (Eure Beiträge sind aber noch vorhanden )
  

Um das mal festzuhalten; Es waren über 58 000 Mitglieder (Jede Menge Bots und Karteileichen) und Unmengen an Beiträgen und Foren.... Diese sind schon zum Teil bereinigt worden, aber bei einem aktiven Forum wird man nie fertig

Was auch bedeutet, dass ich das Forum in Zukunft immer wieder aufräumen werde, damit es übersichtlich bleibt.

Es wäre furchtbar nett, wenn jemand das von mir Geschriebene in Englisch übersetzen würde, dafür ist mein Englishc zu schlecht und Google Translate möchte ich euch nicht zumuten edit: Durch den neuen Import ist das verloren gegangen, ich habe es mit translate übersetzen lassen und hoffe, es ist verständlich, wenn nicht, wäre es lieb, wenn es jemand korrigiert. danke <3

Bitte habt etwas Nachsicht, wenn noch nicht alles sofort fehlerfrei funktioniert im Forum.

Hello all,
Within some few weeks this website will be going down and a new one will replace it still under AAS and same web-address.
We will try to keep as much of the site as we can but some things will be gone.
So get what you would like from the IL2 stuff before it is not here anymore.

I haven't logged in for a while even though I check the sight often. I used to visit/log in to AAA before it morphed into AAS when I first started modding.

I haven't seen much posted in the way of HSFX for a long long time. Besides HSFX I have 4.13.4m installed.with FreeIL2Modding Mod activator with several mods installed. I recently installed vp_modpack because there is a group on Hyperlobby that flies this mod.

I have a common problem in all three versions. I have the Carrier Crew v5 mod installed. All of the carriers are populated, but there is one problem in all versions. There is a graphics anomaly with the USN CVL's and only the CVL's. The CV's and CVE's and other carriers are fine. At SAS PA_Jeronimo posted he had fixed the issue, but never showed what he did to fix the anomaly. I believe here at AAS he goes by Jeronimo and if so I hope he may check the site and see this and can provide an answer. If anyone else reading this post has the answer/fix it would be appreciated if they could post it.

I have received a lot of help here over the years and found a lot of useful information. If this site goes away it will be a very sad day indeed.
