Get rid of the labels
#1

Hi to all of you.

And let me thank you for all your wonderful job.

I have a question: It is possible to not to show the airplane labels when you are seeing a mission replay? some of us doesn't have a big monitor, so in my case I have to activate the airplane labels to identify who is who. But when I see a replay those numbers are really out of reality.

Thank you

When you replay a track, there is a toggle switch to turn off messages. Flip the switch, and all the text goes away. Il-2 has always had this!

I think what he means is the plane icons, if he plays a mission with them on, they are recorded in the track and he wants to know if it was possible to turn them off when viewing the track.

Yes, there is a way. Somewhere in the config.ini is a line called "Hudlog=1" or so, at least something with HUD in the name. Change it to a zero and ALL text on the screen will go away.
Hope this helps.

Then you have the "chat" text at the top of the screen... I don't know why there isn't an option in the track playback menu that would eliminate all of the on screen text.

Huh? I thought they could be switchable with the "Messages" option. Isn't that so?

If it's icons, then simply go into the controls section of the game and select a key setting for toggle icons... it will cycle through a few different examples but eventualy turn them off..

It is still a good idea, and I think it is not difficult to do it.
