I use the Logitech Extreme 3D PRO - Bought it for around EUR 50.
Plenty of easily accessible buttons. Took plenty of one metre drops and is still working perfectly.
i used to have logitech 3D force pro, or whatever it is. nice force feedback but it would lose its calibration very quickly even without the force feedback :?
yes i heard about the Saitek Aviator, i even held it in my hands-very simple, yet very confortable.
The Extreme 3D Pro never gave me any calibration problems. Also force feedback makes it hard to aim while they're blasting your rudder off. That's way I'm better without it (The Extreme does not have it).
I used to have a Logitech extreme 3d pro, and it became impossible to calibrate after some months of use, just as the previous logitech I had.
My experience is the Logitech is crap, that the cheap price is not a good deal because you get to buy one every other moth.
I've been using a Saitek x-52 since last june or so, not one single problem so far. kinda expensive but worth it. The only thing I don't like about the x52 is the spring tension (definitely too loose) but that is easily fixed inserting a soda cap between the upper side of the spring and the handle. (you have to cut a "cake slice" off the cap) with this modification the x52 is close to perfect. Worth every penny.
