:lol: it was just a figure of speech.
this is mine, I'm running a 1920x1200
[window]
width=1920 < chanee this to your maximum width
height=1200 < change this to your maximum highth
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0 < make sure this is 0 not 1
Use3Renders=0
make sure the rest of the values are the same as above
If this works out for you, I would recommend trying this mod
(The link is inoperative)
works great for me ____ good luck
I'd like to see all that I can see of the IL2 sim world.
I have a X241w LCD monitor that allows up to 1920x1200 Currently I run at 1440x900 so I can run higher refresh rate. Currently, I have one of the wide screen thingy set up in my conf.ini.
What is the settings for to see everything the sim renders and I'm OK with black verticals on each side of the screen.
I got it ....
I'm going to leave my settings in case someone else wants to see all they can see and doesn't care about the large black borders on the sides.
[window]
width=1440
height=900
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=1
EnableClose=0
SaveAspect=1
Use3Renders=0
I know it doesn't sound right after spending big bucks for a wide screen monitor, but I'm tired of the elongated aircraft and gunsights. Everything just looks strange. LOL
SaveAspect=1 force you to a stretched 4/3 aspect. Put it on 0 and it will free the aspect to 16/10 but... with cropping.
these are my settings:
[window]
width=1680
height=1050
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0
And I use the widescreen interface Mod of UfJosse and a mod for smaller fonts.
guys i just installed this and tried it, i know that it has been set up so that reticle appear round, however, my planes and wing span shrunken or squashed, is it possible to have these not so square, the aspect ratio is off by a bit, enough to make them look like toys. so can it be stretched a bit more?
