Would love to see this plane make the game, not sure about the tail end, but the front end could be taken from the B-25.
What chance guys?
I don't think the nose of the B25 looks very much like that of the B26, IMHO.
The problem with some new planes seems to be that it has'nt yet been figured out how to import completely new models into the game. So far, new planes have to have a strong enough resemblance to existing planes to allow "borrowing" of parts to cobble together a new plane from.
I suspect this could be very hard to figure out. perhaps with time and patience a way will be found to do this.
BTW I also think the B26 would be a most welcome, and historically important, addition. It certainly saw a lot more use in Western Europe than the B25 or A20 did.
Nice little target :lol: .
I totally agree with Murph on this and would add;
Until such a time as new models can be imported there is more than plenty of accurate new aircraft that can be fabricated from what's currently available. The Spitfire MK.I, Beufighter MK.X and Bf-110G-4 are excellent examples of this.
A bit of historical research shows that these are just the tip of the iceberg with what's now possible as far as modding techniques is concerned.
B-25 glass nosed strafers.
Early model F6F-3 without bombs or rockets.
Late model F6F-5 with 2x20mm and 4x50's.
Field modded Pe2 with rear firing aerial rockets.
Me410.
Ki-61-I KAIc.
Bf109F Jabo.
These are just a few examples of what can now be accurately represented relatively easily. I could go on and on....
I've got nothing against having a well made accurate B-26 on board, but I'd be far happier flying the above sort of planes than a B-25 butchered to sort of resemble a B-26.
EDIT;
In the time it took me to write this the thread, like so many other threads on the board, has been smothered with pictures, some so big I have to scroll from side to side to read, to what end I would like to know?
