Is this something the mod community would consider? A mod pack of everything. eventually when every plane on earth is made. Tongue

...but IMHO there should be an AAA-approved mod pack containing all new maps, all new planes and flyable AI planes, new ships, vehicles and buildings, so everyone has the same standard content, and leave the eye-candy such as new default skins, cockpit repaints, planeshine and other nice but non-essential stuff optional for everyone to decide if they're gonna use it or not.

The problem with mods is that they are ever changing, there are new ones and updates coming out pretty much daily, so keeping tabs on what version does what would be a freaking nightmare to keep up with.

That plus not everybody is interested in all the mods.

we do want to release a mod pack because we are thinking about starting a new online dogfight server which will include new aircraft, but more about that later

Not everybody is interested in all the contents from the official patches yet we all install them, no?

Well, my 2 cents.

I think the modpack, if it happens, should probably just contain

Plane types and vehicles
Maps
extra nationalities
QMB updated.

lingering smoke, windgusts, and mirrors would be up to the user.

Thanks for all your brilliant work.

I say wait. Keep the mods on low key now. Let people choose.

When you find/make a 3d converter, then the fun will begin.

AAA agreed on no current FM to the aircraft. But the loophole is you can remake all the aircraft (more detailed 3d models Smile) and give them a correct FM, DM and loadout, and still be following the rules. They are new aircraft.... Tongue

Then a full size mod pack can be released.

You want people to re-work all 300+ planes currently in game? That's not going to happen i'm afraid...

3d converter would be nice. Would this open up pretty much all models from other sims?

It would be nice, but that wouldn’t happen, I am afraid. Unless someone can smuggle it from 1C office. There are so many less complicated stuff that can be done, but we yet don’t have it, so I think that we never will have that 3D converter. SOW BoB will come out before, and we all will forget this.

All this is becoming so chaotic to follow what to install what not, what is new what is updated, that I am considering quitting and just play what I have till now.

Although it all can be arrange with little organization.
