Nice idea...but I think it is a NoGo for Online Gaming, because:

if you're flying FR, and hear Combat Music you always know it comes trouble.

No more surprise attacks.

I would decline it as a cheat.

Only solution could be:

Controled Mod by Host or Offline solution.

I was thinking to have the Star Wars theme going, during a dogfight between a Lerche and a Go229 Confusedhock:

Coming to think of it, I really hate the lerche.

Better yet, "Hanging" by Craig Armstrong during a FW200 carpet bomb run 8)

And for those landings - George Thorogood - Gear Jammer Tongue

Ps Broph , the Lerche (or any other Earth vessel) was never in Star Wars

And I can prove it!

I have a suggestion for you. There is a great piece of software called "In flight music and randomizer" that can be downloaded here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php? ... oads&c=570

When you install it you get several folders (each for every nation) where you can put music and then play it while in game. Now, you could just choose music you want to listen while in combat and put it in some of those folders and then start playing it when you enter a combat. You can use it both offline and online. I use that utility all the time, it's great...

In flight music used to be random till a patch changed it, gets a bit predictable now.

( I remember someone mentioned working on a randomizer @ Ubi forum , but never tried it out)

One thing I loved about the original Lucas Arts X-Wing games was that the music changed depending on the situation. Baddies arriving on the scene cued up some Imperial sounding tunes and kicking their ass brought in the Force theme etc etc... I never got bored of hearing it. I think they called it iMuse technology or something.
